I have been potting for many years and have previously favoured the pleasures and challenges of creating functional pottery items and exploring the world of raku firing (here).
In 2018 I undertook a residency in Rome at the C.R.E.T.A. ceramics school and studio which has eventually led towards an entirely new aesthetic, reflected in my current work which is decorated with with striking designs and a tribal feel and others reflecting the more subtle oriental aesthetic with crackle glazes and simple forms.
